CC Jensen FuelPolish Separators

Diesel & HVO Fuel Polishing with Active Water Separation

CC Jensen FuelPolish Separators

FuelPolish Separators combine CJC® fine depth filtration with integrated water separation, making them suitable for stored diesel and HVO tanks where water ingress is recurring or difficult to avoid.

Use the product drop-downs below to choose the correct unit for your belly tank or storage tank capacity, and select whether a drip tray is required.

FuelPolish Separators

Fine Filtration Plus Active Water Separation

CC Jensen FuelPolish Separators are designed for stored diesel and HVO fuel systems where water ingress is a constant or recurring risk. They combine CJC® depth filtration with integrated water separation in one offline fuel maintenance unit.

Like FuelPolish Purifiers, they continuously circulate fuel from the tank through the filter system and return cleaned fuel back to storage. The key difference is the additional separator stage, which collects separated water in a sump for monitoring and controlled discharge.

How It Works

Continuous Offline Fuel Cleaning and Water Removal

The separator works independently from the generator fuel supply line. Fuel is drawn from the tank by the integrated circulation pump, passed through the CJC® filter insert and separator section, then returned to the tank.

1. Draw

Fuel is drawn from the tank by the separator’s integrated circulation pump.

2. Filter

Fuel passes through CJC® depth filter media to remove fine particles, sludge and fuel degradation residues.

3. Separate

Water coalesces, separates from the fuel and collects in the lower water sump.

4. Return

Cleaned fuel is returned to the tank, helping maintain the full stored fuel volume over time.

Water Separation

Designed for Fuel Systems with Recurring Water Risk

Water is one of the most common causes of stored diesel and HVO fuel problems. It can enter through condensation, deliveries, vents, damaged fittings or poor tank conditions. Once present, water can collect at the bottom of the tank and contribute to microbial growth, sludge, corrosion and blocked filters.

Coalescence

Water droplets are encouraged to combine into larger droplets so they can separate more effectively from the fuel.

Water Sump

Separated water collects in the lower section of the unit, away from the cleaned fuel outlet.

Controlled Discharge

The water collection area can be monitored, alarmed and discharged according to the selected specification and site requirements.

Automatic water discharge should only be used where it is suitable for the site, permitted by the project specification and connected into an appropriate containment or disposal arrangement.

CJC® Filter Insert Technology

3 Micron Absolute Depth Filtration

FuelPolish Separators use CJC® depth filter technology to remove fine contamination from the fuel. The depth filter media captures contamination through the full filter insert, not just on the surface, giving high dirt-holding capacity and effective fine filtration.

Fine Particles

Helps remove fine solids, tank debris, corrosion products and contamination that can affect filters, pumps and injectors.

Sludge & Residues

Helps reduce sludge, oxidation resin, varnish-like residues and diesel/HVO degradation products.

Water Control

Combines fine filtration with continuous water separation for tanks where water is a known or recurring issue.

Product Selection

Choose the Correct Separator by Tank Type and Capacity

Use the product drop-downs above to select the correct unit for your belly tank or storage tank capacity. All FuelPolish Separator units include a control box as standard. The main selectable option is whether a drip tray is required.

Belly tank up to 10,000 L
Storage tank up to 20,000 L
FuelPolish Separator 15/25 110 l/h Included Yes / No
Belly tank up to 25,000 L
Storage tank up to 50,000 L
FuelPolish Separator 27/27 335 l/h Included Yes / No

Tank sizing is a guide only. Final selection should consider fuel condition, water ingress, tank design, duty cycle, pipework, control requirements and site operating conditions.

Control Box Included

Monitoring, Alarm Handling and Water Management

All FuelPolish Separator units include a control box. This provides operating modes, alarm handling and the additional monitoring required for separator water collection and discharge functions.

Control Functions

  • On / Off / Auto operating modes
  • Manual and automatic operation
  • Flow switch/sensor monitoring
  • Pressure switch/sensor monitoring
  • Emergency stop on the control box
  • PLC/HMI control and indication
  • IP65 enclosure cabinet

Alarm & Water Functions

  • No-flow alarm
  • Pump alarm
  • Pressure alarm
  • Pump shutdown when filters need service
  • Water-in-fuel / water sump monitoring
  • Water discharge monitoring where specified
  • Output signal for remote alarm/BMS interface where specified

Drip Tray Option

Local Mounting and Leak Containment

FuelPolish Separators can be selected with or without a drip tray. The drip tray provides a mounting base beneath the unit and helps collect minor drips or leaks from the filtration assembly.

Where required, leak sensor float switches can be added separately to the drip tray area to provide local or remote leak alarm signalling.

When to Choose a Separator

Choose a Separator Where Water Is a Known Risk

FuelPolish Separators are best suited to installations where water ingress is constant, recurring or difficult to eliminate. For sites where routine fuel conditioning is needed but significant water ingress is not expected, a FuelPolish Purifier may be the simpler and more cost-effective option.

Choose a Purifier For

  • Routine stored diesel/HVO maintenance
  • Particle, sludge and degradation residue removal
  • Generator belly tanks, day tanks and bulk tanks
  • Sites where major recurring water ingress is not expected

Choose a Separator For

  • Recurring or constant water ingress
  • Bulk tanks exposed to higher condensation risk
  • Sites with known water contamination history
  • Applications requiring active water collection and monitoring
