Before you select a probe

Inventory control (-I) and leak detection models

Measure the tank depthMeasure vertically from the tank bottom to the top of the manway neck. Do not enter tank diameter alone if the neck adds height.

Measure the clear heightMeasure from the neck top to the lowest cover, obstruction or containment feature above the installation.

Allow for cable routingAdd the bend and service clearance required for the connector and cable. Zero returns the geometric riser minimum only.

How selection works: the recommended model is the shortest listed FMP-LL3 probe that reaches the measured depth and fits below the obstruction.

Riser calculation: overall probe length minus measured tank/manway depth, plus any cable clearance entered above.
