LOCTITE® SF 7471 – Anaerobic Primer / Activator (Cure-Speed Accelerator)
LOCTITE SF 7471 is a solvent-based primer/activator designed to speed up the cure of LOCTITE anaerobic products on challenging assemblies. It’s ideal when you need faster, more reliable curing on passive metals, across larger bond gaps, or in cold conditions (typically below 15°C).

When would you use SF 7471?
- Low temperatures: when curing conditions are cold (e.g., winter installs or unheated workshops).
- Passive / inactive surfaces: where anaerobic products can be slower to cure.
- Larger gaps: when thread fit or joint gap is less than ideal and you want quicker curing.

How to use (typical)
- Clean mating surfaces.
- Apply SF 7471 to one or both surfaces (spray/brush as appropriate).
- Allow the solvent to evaporate fully until surfaces are dry.
- Apply LOCTITE 567 / 577 / 572 and assemble the joint.
Note: Use with good ventilation and follow the product SDS. Activators are flammable solvent-based products.
