Complete Ris-Flange Modular Tank Lid Systems

Complete modular tank lid kits for forecourt suction systems, with configurations for 1 to 6 suction lines. Each combines a Risbridger RIS-FLANGE tank lid with the suction, vent, fill and gauge fittings, flexible connectors and associated components required for the selected layout. The overfill prevention valve is sold separately.

Quicker to fit. Easier to align. Designed for future access. Bolted flanged connections simplify installation, reduce reliance on threaded adaptors and make future maintenance and reconfiguration more straightforward. Explore the kit contents, benefits and selection guide.

Simplify installation today. Keep the tank accessible tomorrow.

A tank lid needs to work throughout the life of the forecourt. The Risbridger RIS-FLANGE system brings filling, suction, venting and electronic gauging connections together on a modular platform that is straightforward to assemble, test and alter.

For architects and consultants, it provides a coordinated tank lid arrangement to specify. For installers, it simplifies alignment and assembly. For site owners, it helps preserve access for future tank cleaning, inspection, lining and upgrades.

What is included in each kit?

Choose the configuration to suit the number of suction lines required for the tank or compartment.

ComponentIncluded arrangement
Risbridger modular tank lidRIS-FLANGE lid with flanged mounting positions for the selected layout.
Suction assemblies1 to 6 flip-over shut-off/test modules, complete with suction internals.
Vent assembly1 flip-over shut-off/test vent module.
Fill connection1 x 4" Risbridger fill tee with an integrated hold-down cage for a compatible overfill prevention valve.
Electronic tank gauge connection1 gauge riser with cable gland.
Blanks and adaptor platesAs required for the selected configuration.
Flexible connectorsFor connecting the lid fittings to the incoming square-flanged pipework transitions.

The overfill prevention valve is sold separately. The electronic tank gauge and probe, tank, access chamber and incoming pipework transitions are outside the kit scope described here.

Faster assembly with fewer threaded connections

Traditional tank lids commonly use threaded ports, fittings and adaptors to connect the tank furniture to the pipework. RIS-FLANGE uses bolted, gasketed flange connections at the modular interfaces, assembled using hand tools without thread sealants or jointing compounds at those connections.

  • Align before tightening: modules rotate through 360° to suit the incoming pipework and lock in position when the flange fixings are tightened.
  • Reduce potential leak paths: flanged connections reduce the need for threaded adaptor assemblies, while blind tapped fixing holes avoid a through-hole leakage path at the lid fixings.
  • Simplify installation planning: components can be fitted to the tank in the factory or assembled on site, subject to the project arrangements.
  • Make testing more accessible: the included flip-over shut-off/test suction and vent modules support isolation for line testing in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.

Plan for maintenance access from the outset

The included flexible connectors allow fixed pipework to terminate outside the tank lid's external diameter. With the pipework positioned accordingly, the flexible connections and tank lid furniture can be disconnected to clear the lid for removal, helping avoid the need to cut or reroute fixed pipework when tank access is required.

Flexible connections also help reduce strain on the pipework during alignment. Bolted modular fittings can be removed and reconfigured using hand tools, making it easier to accommodate later layout changes within the available lid ports and chamber space.

Select the right arrangement for your project

  • Suction requirements: identify the number of suction lines needed for each tank or compartment, together with any planned future changes.
  • Tank interface: confirm the tank manway neck, lid dimensions, fixing pattern and sealing arrangement with the tank manufacturer.
  • Chamber layout: allow space for fitting alignment, flexible connectors, testing, component removal and lifting the lid.
  • Pipework connections: specify the pipework brand, sizes and square-flanged transitions. The system can interface with different pipework brands using the appropriate transitions.
  • Overfill protection and gauging: select a compatible overfill valve separately and check the gauge probe, cable and riser requirements.

Fuel compatibility and materials

Risbridger lists petrol, including ethanol blends up to 90%, diesel and biodiesel/FAME blends for the relevant RIS-FLANGE fittings. Materials used across the modular fitting range include anodised aluminium, Viton A (FKM), Delrin (polyacetal) and stainless steel. Confirm the specified fuel and blend against every component in the complete assembly, including flexible connectors and the separately selected overfill valve.
