The Prosense PE Series Gas Detector is a robust, fixed-point vapour detection device engineered for industrial environments where flammable gas monitoring is critical. Designed to detect gas concentrations from 0 to 100% LEL, this detector uses a high-performance catalytic sensor with a linear 4-20mA analog output, perfectly scaled to reflect gas levels across the full lower explosive limit range.
Certified for use in ATEX Zone 1 and Zone 2 hazardous areas, this unit offers reliable detection in fuel storage facilities, chemical plants, compressor rooms, and EV-equipped forecourts handling flammable vapours. The IP65-rated ex-proof enclosure ensures durability in harsh conditions, while fast response times (<15 seconds) make it suitable for real-time gas safety systems.
The housing is fitted with a ½” NPT threaded cable gland entry, enabling secure cable termination. Cable glands are sold separately and are available under part number PR-NYY12, offering a compatible and reliable installation solution.
Each detector is pre-calibrated to its specified gas type and fully tested to meet stringent performance standards. Ideal for integration with PLCs, control panels, or alarm systems, the PE Series provides dependable flammable gas monitoring where precision and safety are paramount.
