SGB 115395 Pressure & Vacuum Leak Detector Test Device – 4 Bar

The SGB 115395 is a professional test device for the commissioning, periodic inspection and functional testing of SGB pressure and vacuum leak detection systems.

Designed for use by competent leak-detection service engineers, it allows pressure or vacuum to be applied, monitored and released in a controlled manner. This enables the engineer to verify that the connected leak detector responds correctly at its specified pump and alarm switch points, without needing to directly alter the condition of a large tank or pipe interstitial space.

The compact 0.75-litre test vessel incorporates connection points for the leak detector test ports, a gauge connection and a controlled venting arrangement. When used with the recommended SGB 115360 Digital Testing Gauge (–1 to +2 bar), pressure or vacuum changes can be accurately monitored while the leak detector’s pump and alarm operation are checked.

Once connected, the test device allows pressure or vacuum to be gradually reduced, helping the engineer identify and record the pressure points at which the pump starts or stops and the audible/visual alarm activates or resets.

Pressure-resistant up to 4 bar, the 115395 is suitable for testing higher-pressure SGB systems as well as standard vacuum leak detectors. The SGB 115360 Digital Testing Gauge is ideal for vacuum applications and pressure leak detectors operating up to 2 bar. For systems requiring test pressures above 2 bar, a suitable higher-range gauge should be used.

Typical Uses

  • Commissioning newly installed leak detection systems
  • Annual inspection and functional testing
  • Checking pressure/vacuum alarm switch points
  • Verifying pump start/stop operation
  • Checking visual and audible alarm operation
  • Assisting with adjustment of leak detector switch values, where permitted by the relevant SGB instructions
  • Testing systems with large interstitial volumes more efficiently, by isolating the interstice during the functional check

Suitable For

  • SGB vacuum leak detectors for tanks and pipework
  • SGB DL 330 pressure leak detector systems
  • Higher-pressure SGB DL systems, up to DL 2500
  • SGB DLR-P 1.1, DLR-P 2.0 and DLR-P 2.3 pressure leak detectors

Key Features

  • For controlled testing of both overpressure and vacuum leak detectors
  • Pressure-resistant up to 4 bar
  • 0.75-litre test vessel
  • Gauge connection for monitoring test pressure or vacuum
  • Compatible with the SGB 115360 Digital Testing Gauge (–1 to +2 bar)
  • Integrated controlled venting facility for gradual pressure or vacuum reduction
  • Helps verify operational, pump and alarm switching points

Important Information

A suitable pressure/vacuum gauge is required and is not supplied with the test device. For vacuum applications and pressure testing up to +2 bar, we recommend the SGB 115360 Digital Testing Gauge.

The test device must be used only by suitably competent personnel and in accordance with the installation, commissioning and maintenance instructions for the specific SGB leak detector and applicable site safety procedures. Required test pressures, switch values and acceptance criteria vary by leak detector model and application.
