Standard Duty/Standby Pump Sets

Standard diesel-transfer sets

Each set uses two electrically driven self-priming pumps arranged for duty/standby service. The pumps are mounted on a common baseplate and connected to shared suction and discharge manifolds with isolating and non-return valves.

Typical applications

• Generator bulk-tank to day-tank transfer
• Transfer between diesel storage tanks
• Small and medium diesel-transfer systems
• Projects requiring a compact two-pump arrangement

Selecting a model

Select the set using the required flow, total system head, suction conditions and available electrical supply. Maximum published flow and head figures should not be treated as one simultaneous operating point; the relevant pump curve must be checked against the intended duty.

Construction and options

Standard assemblies can include stainless-steel manifolds, isolating valves, non-return valves and a folded baseplate or drip tray. A drip-tray liquid sensor, control panel, filtration and flow or pressure monitoring may be available depending on the selected configuration.

Installation position

These sets are intended for internal installation inside a suitable weather-proof building, plant room or enclosure supplied by others. They should not be treated as weatherproof outdoor packages unless a separately designed and specified enclosure is provided.
